Comon 꼬몽 in Verdun offers a straightforward yet satisfying Korean dining experience that feels both cozy and casual. Located on Blvd. LaSalle, this spot leans into Korean comfort food with an emphasis on the kind of fried chicken that’s become a local favorite. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a solid choice for solo lunches, casual dinners with friends, or a low-key weekend meal.

Their Korean Fried Chicken, especially the versions with soy garlic and green onion sauces, stands out for staying crispy throughout the meal—a quality that often challenges many Korean fried chicken spots. Alongside that, the menu features familiar dishes like bibimbap, spicy pork rice bowls, and seafood pancakes, which are prepared with care and a clean flavor profile. For those who like variety, sharing a few small plates like crispy seaweed rolls or tteokbokki with cheese can round out the meal nicely.

What makes Comon 꼬몽 feel particularly approachable is the balance between traditional flavors and local sensibilities. Portions are generous but not overwhelming, and the complementary side dishes, including kimchi salads and well-seasoned vegetables, enhance the overall experience without overloading the palate.

This restaurant seems to attract a broad crowd—from neighbors popping in for their fried chicken fix to Korean food enthusiasts exploring Verdun’s culinary scene. Peak times likely fall around typical dinner hours when the warmth and comfort of dishes like yukgaejang or bulgogi bibimbap provide cozy relief from the city chill.

If you’re looking for a no-fuss, reliably good Korean meal in Verdun that manages to keep the crispy fried chicken standard high while offering a decent range of other classics, Comon 꼬몽 is worth stepping into. It’s not flashy, but it’s solidly rooted in satisfying everyday dining experiences.

Loved this place! Nice cozy spot. Food was amazing. The fried chicken with their spicy sauce was so good. Also really liked the rice cakes with cheese. We also had the Kimchi fried rice and a bibimbap. Will definitely go back.

Best fried chicken in town. The chicken stays crispy throughout the entire meal and the sauces are seasonned just right. The sweet and spicy chicken is not really spicy at all, but still very delicious. The basic soy sauce and garlic is just perfect. Try it for yourself! They provide small side dishes that are very well marinated and pairs well with the chicken. The portion for the japchae is very generous, we had to bring it home. This is run by a korean family and I have been clients of them for years, and the quality has never lessened. This is authentic korean food. I highly recommend.

Best Korean fried chicken in town! As a big fan of fried chicken, this place is my go to. Crispy, juicy and flavourful. The sweet and spicy sauce is the highlight. The spicy pork rice bowl is also a favourite.

Our favourite Korean place we’ve tried in Montreal. From beginning to end we had a great experience. The bangchan was very flavourful (they make phenomenal kimchi). Then the tteokbokki which was incredible! The sauce was so full bodied, you could taste the vegetables in it which was a first for me. Rice cakes were cooked to perfection and their fish cakes taste great. The kimchijeon was the showstopper for us and is the best we’ve tried in Montreal. Highly recommend. The fried chicken was also excellent. Overall I appreciated that the fried food was not too greasy like other places. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!!

Amazing experience! I went here with my cousin and ordered a plate of rice cakes along with the crispy rice cakes and fried chicken. All of the foods above tasted phenomenal and we’re above our expectations! Absolutely recommend eating here. P.S: The atmosphere was great and the waitress was amazing.
